Gary McKinnon has been named as one of the UK Guardian's People of the Year.
For the past year, the US has been attempting to extradite Gary McKinnon, a 42-year-old computer hacker from north London, who hacked into the computer systems of Nasa and the Pentagon. McKinnon and his ragtag army of supporters, lawyers and family members are fighting the extradition every inch of the way and refusing to go gently. He has one final judicial review to go in January and growing cross-party support in his bid to be allowed to face trial here.

!-Comment-! :: Prior to the launch of Exopolitics as a term, field of research and rapidly expanding global network - the field of ExoPsychology was pioneered in the 1970s and 80s. Several authors of the era played a role in its formation - many of whom seemed to be part of the wave of bizarre 'contact experiences' which happened to a core group at the time. As Exopolitics has grown in recent years - few have spared time to reference the field of ExoPsychology yet this is key to our understanding of both exopolitics and the wider implications of contact with visting cultures. The UK site contains several references to the work of Leary et al - including a piece by Carol Rosin who was present at Leary's death... an act broadcast live online as of course Leary the prankster performer had planned.

Whilst we should embrace sound fact-checking [as far as this is feasible in this rumour-fuelled and black-project foggy area] and open-minded scepticism it seems to me that outside of those who have deeper reasons for debunking and minimising new information leads - some researchers suffer from what we'll call 'caution sickness'.

On the 28th August, truth-seeking researcher Gary McKinnon had his last chance at preventing extradition to the USA refused by the European Court of Human Rights.

Exopolitics UK Talk to the Director of ICIS UK -  Eliahi Priest 

The Institute for Co-operation in Space is primarily run from Canada and Ecuador but recently the UK gained it's own ICIS representative.

2008 -  The UK - UFO Year....

!-Update-! 2008 was an endless array of sightings reports and tabloid press amazement at the sheer volume of seemingly authentic sightings. Various forms of orange orbs seems to have been the main object seen and filmed but party goers releasing Chinese lanterns added a degree of fog to the topic. One thing was clear -  the global media seemed to suddenly stop feeling they had to ridicule the phenomena and actually covered the sightings pretty well. This site had over 50 comments on this issue alone.

Global and even financial press are reporting on the huge rate of reported UFO sightings over England and the UK mainland as a whole. In one of the more significant -  objects were sighted over a military base by a soldier who described "rotating cubes with multiple colours". 

Elsewhere the English Midlands seems to have taken the lead for the flap or hotspot area so far from previously record holding areas such as West Yorkshire and Bonnybridge, Scotland. Objects were seen and reported in Bromsgrove [Worcestershire], Shropshire, and Nottingham. These sightings follow the recent close encounter with a police helicopter in Wales.

Whist exopolitics tends to deal with issues beyond UFO sightings, the reports can provide a kind of 'thermostat' effect for the extent of:

• individual sightings and flaps
• national or regional hotspots or possible portals
• public awareness and response
• media awareness and response
• government and/or military response

!-Comment-! - Added to the secret UN meeting information and the Vatican's press release we have yet another MOD announcement about its archived files on UFO sightings and research. Is this part of the plan to gently introduce the extra-terrestrial reality to the global public? Nick Pope who was interviewed by Exopolitics UK suggested that maybe Mars and the new range of powerful space telescopes maybe the avenue used for this purpose.

Essentially such announcements and file releases are pretty basic as far as disclosure of exopolitical issues goes. In addition we should consider possible agendas for such actions. What we need urgently is more discussion of the deeper, underlying problems and benefits we face as the human species openly interfaces with ethical, advanced cultures.

!-Updated-! Gary McKinnon's House of Lords appeal hearing date was set provisionally for 19th June 2008. Exopolitics UK just spoke to Gary and he says the hearing date has been moved to the 16th June.

Gary also pointed out that although the House of Lords hearing is seen as the 'last point' for the extradition decision, should it be refused and either the case 'dropped' on the UK side or a local court option be scheduled, the US prosecutors can indeed contest the Lords' decision. This would result in another UK based hearing we presume or even European Court of Human Rights. 

Lloyd Pye will go down in history as a researcher who exposed elements of our species' hidden history and stood up to the wider war on consciousness. Forget the seemingly opposing camps of creationism and blind-watchmakers - it's darkly ironic that much of the UFO field have failed to pick-up on just how important Lloyd's work with the 'Starchild' skull could be. We're talking a possible missing link in the human-alien-hybrid scheme of things... a final piece of the puzzle in what Lloyd calls intervention theory.

British researcher Gary McKinnon is currently due to be extradited to the USA to face a long jail sentence for gaining entry to several major US military networks. His main reason for doing so was to find out once and for all if NASA were indeed airbrushing anomalous objects from stock photos and also to locate proof of free energy systems that are linked to the ET/UFO phenomena because in the UK, in the 21st century "we have the elderly dying of cold because they cannot afford to keep the heating on". 

McKinnon found the first evidence. He also claimed to have found some evidence that backs up much of what the exopolitical field have thought to be the case for some time - a separate space program.  On his network travels he found references to non-terrestrial officers and also sheets listing details of fleet-to-fleet transfers - when he searched for the names given to the 'ships' in Navy seagoing lists, they did not exist.
