If you want to give and hand creating basic content for the site first you'll need to have an account. Signing up is easy and can be done here: exopolitics.org.uk/registration/register

After this click on the editor submission button on the main menu and you'll see a basic interface. Most of the editor buttons you see don't need to be used -  in fact the more basic you keep things the easier it is. Here are the basic steps...

Intro Points

  • Select a category - at the moment there may only be one but if the site grows we can increase this. These can be changed when validated.
  • Enter name and email - only your name will show and this can be just a first name if you wish.
  • Enter a title

Image[s]

  • The system allows a basic template with two sections. The top text box is for your header text and allows for one image -  the second text box is for the main or body text and also allows for an optional image.
  • If you just want a header/intro image load a suitable image that roughly fits the dimensions mentioned and skip the second upload option.
  • If you also want a body image load the second field from your drive also.
  • These images will be auto-placed.

Head and Body Fields

For both fields it's best to minimise formatting options such as text size and colour -  let the system publish simply where you can. If you are used to something like Word you'll know the basics of text formatting anyway -  so have a go - things can be undone or sorted out at pending stage if need be!

The header box should just be an intro paragraph of no more than say 100 words. The bottom field can be as long as you wish. Click submit when done -  you'll get a message and the item will go in line for review.

Other

If you want to add more images than the standard 2 - either create a new article or contact the site webmaster for help.
