Surely it would have set down at RAF St Athan? We know that the helicopter refuelled at Cardiff airport because a pilot with a commercial airline operating out of Cardiff has claimed that Air Traffic Control informed the plane as it approached that a police helicopter was ‘tracking’ a UFO and be aware it was in the airplanes vicinity. The pilot also later saw the police helicopter on the ground at the airport later. The pilot initially was willing to come forward but has since declined to be interviewed.

So myself and the crew set up at RAF St Athan to film an interview to outline the above story. RAf St Athan is a small-ish site but is due to become the centre of MoD training and will become a huge base. It is very quiet there because of its rural location. We were a few minutes into the interview when we were approached by three forces personnel (not sure, but had purple berets, very fetching) they asked what we were doing and we explained. We produced permits for filming and explained we were on public land. They left and we continued. From then on the base seemed to come to life. We had to re-take many scenes because of noise coming from the base. Single shots were heard, obviously training rounds, but suspicious there were just single shots (and not a volley of shots which would indicate target practice) and just as we were talking. Then a forklift came by the fence as we were shooting. Not doing anything, just idling the engine, just to make noise. We got through the interview and were just finishing off when the RAF Police decided to come along. Now, on public land and with a filming permit, yet we were asked to produce ID. Now I don’t remember the bit of the law that just standing around engaged in lawful activity the police are allowed to demand ID. Not politely ask, but DEMAND. Anyway, no case to answer, so off the RAF Police go to continue their busy crime-busting schedule. All in all typical establishment behaviour throughout.

Through the FOIA the police have denied the chase. The CAA have denied the event even happened and are not investigating. The MoD are aware of it through the media but have not received any paperwork and so are not interested. The National Air Traffic Service (NATS) are not covered by the FOIA but helpfully insisted that there was no issue. Whether the object was of extraterrestrial origin or something more conventional, a Police helicopter almost collided and potentially human lives were at risk, yet no-one is investigating. The helicopter crew haven’t come forward. The pilot is too scared to come forward. Air Traffic control will confirm nothing. But through the witnesses, the contradictory stories and the media we know a helicopter swerved to avoid a UFO, gave chase and turned back due to low fuel. That is story enough for now, and the rest of the truth will eventually unfold.
